Being a mom to daughters is so important. Raising them up to be happy, productive adults is a job in-and-of-itself. I can be a lot of fun, but their will the stresses over time. It is important to remember the end goal. What you want for your daughter’s future, as stated above.
This is the month in which single moms everywhere are running around trying to get their children ready for the new school year. Their is so much to consider, so much to do.
My Frugal Recipes blog has had a plethora of recipes posted this past month. These recipes, mostly healthy ones, will help you to save money on food prep.

As some of you may remember, I was recently offered the opportunity to become the Single Moms Examiner for the Bangor, Maine area. Not all of the articles are specific to Bangor. I write about how to live during the recession, fun things to do with our children, and much more.
As a single mom, I try to use as many quick, easy recipes as I can come up with. I rarely have time to prepare huge meals that take hours. Single moms usually don’t have that kind of time on their hands.

Children love to help out in the kitchen. I remember when Skye was five. Even though she needed to stand in a chair to do so, she loved to wash the dishes. I did, however, take out anything sharp before allowing her to do this. |
