Most of last week was spent planning the craft projects that we would do in order to have gifts for everyone that we love and hold dear. This planning was done by myself, my daughter (16), and my nephew (11).
On Wednesday, I made two cheesecakes and three loaves of bread: Cinnamon streusel, apple and lemon poppy-seed. My daughter baked two pies from scratch: Apple and pumpkin. We already had a good start on our Thanksgiving meal by this point.
I am on a saving money kick today, and am checking out frugal type web sites. You are benefiting from this in two ways: 1. You do not have to do the searches yourself, and 2. You and I can learn more ways to live frugally in these leaner times.

I have a tree in my living room, purchased from TerrysVillage.com, that I am keeping up year round. It does not take up much space, and I am decorating it for different occasions.
I love Halloween. The decorations. The costumes. The merriment. Make a graveyard from construction paper and hang it in your window.
These are great for young children, and those a bit older. For the youngest children, mom or an older sibling will do all of the cutting.
Another easy craft for children. Young children will need help with cutting.
I hope to soon be able to post photographs of the crafts that we are doing here. Right now I am drawing on past projects that we had made as gifts for people, and I regret that I do not have photographs. |
