I feel blessed that my 19 year old daughter Skye, who lives a few hours away, wants to IM or message me almost every day to check in. And that she likes to talk to me on the phone when she can. It is not easy to have her living her life so far away, but she is doing what is right for her. I support her completely, but I certainly miss her. I can tell that she misses me as well, and she talks to me about her joys, her fears and her concerns. I also like that her boyfriend keeps in contact with me, especially when he has concerns about her. He is very respectful of me as her mother. What is your # 1 single mom blessing? Shannon Comments |
