Sometimes things do not work out as planned. When I became pregnant with my first daughter, her father and I parted ways when I was only a few months pregnant. It was hard, and my daughter has only met her father once when she was only eighteen months old.
Jill Scott is a lucky woman. Even though she and her man split not long after their baby was born, they will be co-parenting. This is so important to that babies’ future.
It is very important that people in these situations try to get along for the sake of the child(ren) involved. The children should not have to suffer unreasonably for their parents choice to not stay together.
When you co-parent, you should be able to get along well together. You will need to be able to put the child’s best interest before your own needs and wants.
How many people can honestly admit to being able to do this?
I wish Jill and John the best in their co-parenting adventure. I hope that they are truly able to make this situation work for their child’s sake.
