Quick Tips for the Single Mom: Homeschooling

My best tip here is to make sure that your children learn all of the life skills necessary to run a household before they move out. This is so important, and most kids are not taught even a quarter of what they need to know.

Here are some things that each child (male and female) should be able to do. This is not and exhaustive list.

1. Clean every room of the house from top to bottom.

2. Unclog drains.

3. Sew, at least the basics.

4. Changle the oil, inflate a tire, change a tire, add windshield washer fluid, wash a car, etc.

5. Mow, rake and shovel.

6. Compost and garden.

7. Take care of children.

8. Care for their won pets.

9. Budget, purchase a car, hold bank accounts and pay bills.

Care to add to this?
