Senior Prom: Duct Tape Dress and Tux

I just had to share this with everyone. My daughter’s friend, Jake, is a senior this year. He texted Zowie (my daughter) and asked her if she would go to prom with him… in a duct tape dress. Zowie is like the duct tape queen, so he pretty much new that she would go.

You see, there is a duct tape scholarship. Who knew, right? It is worth $5,000 if you win it. He isn’t guaranteed the win, but the money would really help him out.

Now, he is doing a Joker thing (Batman?). so the colors are lime green and purple. His sister helped him make the tux.

My sister, Katie, is helping Zowie make her dress. The dress will be mostly made from the purple duct tape, with the lime green being an accent color.

Yesterday, Zowie texted Jake to ask him if she could wear her high tops, which will match with the dress. He told her to go ahead. He had already decided to wear his high tops.

I am hoping for a picture of this, and will post it here if I get one.

Shannon
