While walking this week, I have noticed many signs of spring. The birds are congregating, and making beautiful music. The tulips are pushing up from the ground. My yard is like a swamp…
How can a single mother enjoy the beginnings of spring?
I suggest hiring a babysitter for a few hours and going for a walk. Look around you, and notice the changes that are taking place. Bring a camera and snap some photographs. From the photographs, you will be able to make a scrapbook.
How about creating some spring traditions? Here are some ideas:
* Begin walking, as a family, each evening after dinner.
* Take a picture of your garden at different stages, and allow your child to make a garden “story book.”
* Start using the barbecue to make dinner.
* Buy a lawn decoration.
What signs of spring are you witnessing? What spring traditions do you have? Share them with us in the comments.
Thank you,
Shannon
