Teen Drama: Too Much for the Single Mom?

Does your teen have too much drama in her life?

With two teenage daughters, I was sometimes allowing their drama to get me down. I know that I shouldn’t have, but I just couldn’t stop it from happening. It seemed just another part of life. At times, every day life.

I have stopped letting their drama get me down so much. I simply cannot keep up with everything that they both have going on in their lives.

It may be helpful that I am on medication for depression. I find myself not letting things in other parts of my life get me down as well. It is hard for me to get upset these days. I’m considering this a good thing.

I do, however, let my daughters know that I am here for them. They can talk to me know matter what, and about anything that they need to discuss. I will give them the best advice that I can, but I am not letting myself get stressed out about things.

This has brought a whole new sense of being into my home, and things seem to be going better. We seem happier for the effort.
