Math is a very important subject, I am sure that you understand this. But many children find it hard to learn math the math skills that they need. There are many ways to make learning math fun and easy. Here are some ideas for you to try with your children.
- Children can learn to read fractions when they are as young as three or four simply by helping mom bake. Show them the fraction, say it for them, and have them repeat it. Do this each time that you bake until they know the fractions by heart.
- The next step with fractions is to teach them to add. If you don’t have a 1 cup, how many 2 cup measures will you need?
- Then you can subtract fractions.
- They can also learn fractions while they eat sandwiches and pizza. What fraction of the sandwich cut into fourths are they eating?
- Bingo games are also great for teaching math. They have games for number recognition, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Hopscotch is a great way to teach counting and number recognition.
- You can teach children place value here.
- Young Children is another great source for teaching math.
- Young children can even learn to count money.
As you can see, there are many ways to teach young children math.
