As a single mother, I understand and appreciate the need to hang out with my best friend on a regular basis. My best friend, Missy, is a very important aspect of my life, and I find it important to nurture our friendship whenever I can.
We have done this in many ways over the years, and I would like to share some of these ways with you today.
- When my daughters were young, Missy and I took them to the coast for a long weekend. We rented a cottage, shopped and ate seafood. It was a lot of fun.
- Missy and I take my daughters and her son to the beach once each year. We stay there most of the day, take photographs, have a picnic and look for frogs in the pond. We have a great time.
- Missy, Tracy and I took my daughters to a lighthouse one year, and we have also taken them shopping. Believe it or not, Missy and I can out shop my teenage daughters. They get tired before we do!
- Missy and I went on two photograph-taking expeditions last fall. We had two full days of quality time together, did some shopping along the way, and took some beautiful pictures.
- We like to shop together, eat out, and take in movies. Some of the movies that we have seen together: The Village, Lady in the Water, Twilight (with my daughter Zowie), and Taken.
- We have gone to Croptoberfest, and also attended scrapbooking classes together.
- We enjoy yardsaling.
I cherish the time that we spend together.
