Special Treat: Sweet Fruit Parfait

Sweets are not a good idea every day, but they shouldn’t hurt once in a while. I like to surprise my daughter and nephew with a real treat sometimes. This is a good option for offering something sweet combined with something healthy.

These are also easy for even young children to make.

Sweet Fruit Parfait:

serves 3-4, depending on the size of theĀ glass that you use

parfait or other decorative cupsĀ 

1 apple, cored and sliced

1 banana

4 grapes per cup, sliced

mini chocolate chips

whipped topping

1. Put a little whipped topping in the bottom of each glass.

2. Layer as follows:

grapes

topping

bananas

topping

apples, standing on end around inside of each glass

topping

mini chocolate chips
